An Audio Memory

 

Under the Tree is a songwriting project for students in Tembusu College, National University of Singapore. Participants undergo a semester-long songwriting course conducted by industry experts, and collectively produce their very own music album!

The music album, inspired by the student’s life in Tembusu College, will serve as an audio memory for both the students and the college. Music helps us say unspoken words; it empowers us when we are happy, and strengthens us when we are down. From the melody to the lyrics, the singer’s voice to the drummer’s beat, music helps musicians and listeners paint a poignant portrait in their minds. If our 2 years in Tembusu College could forever be etched into our memories, what better way to revisit them than through the music we create?
